Jewell Pippin

Funeral services for Mrs. Jewell Pippin, age 76, a resident of Bloomington Springs, Tennessee, will be held Wednesday, August 20, 2008, at 11 A.M. at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Byers Cemetery in the Center Grove community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12 Noon until 9 P.M., and on Wednesday from 9 A.M. until time of services. Mrs. Pippin passed away on Monday, August 18, 2008, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born September 14, 1931, in Jackson County, TN, to the late William Henry and Slina Payne Haney. On March 7, 1948, she was married to the late Aaron B. Pippin, who passed away November 29, 1991. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Center Grove Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Son: Johnnie Pippin; 6 Brothers; and 3 Sisters. Survivors include 2 Sons: Robert (Sheila) Pippin of Rockwood, MI, and Tim (Robin) Pippin of Nashville, TN; 4 Daughters: Janice, Dale, and Ruth Pippin, all of Bloomington Springs, TN, and Lora (Roy) Cravens of Cookeville, TN; 8 Grandchildren: Robert (Leanne) Pippin, Joshua (Michia) Pippin, Caleb Pippin, Adam (Autumn) Cravens, Sara Cravens, Rachel Pippin, Becca Pippin, and Paul Pippin; 2 Great- Grandchildren: Jennifer and Joshua William Pippin; and 1 Sister: Opal Inez Jackson of Granville, TN. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. John Mabery will officiate at the services.
