Jewell L. Hopkins

Jewell L. Hopkins was born October 4, 1931, in Jackson County, TN and she passed away on Monday, November 21, 2022 at NHC Health Care and Rehab in Cookeville, TN, at the age of 91.

She was the daughter of the late Charlie Crockett Frizzell and Ovie Lena Wheeler Frizzell. She was married to the late Oliver Clay Hopkins, who passed away July 20, 1982. She was a retired factory worker, and a member of the McCoinsville Church of Christ.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her Daughter: Kathy Hopkins; Son: Oliver Clay Hopkins, Jr.; Brothers: Aubrey Lewis Frizzell, Charles Hubert Frizzell, Henry Gilbert Frizzell, John William Frizzell, Hershal Smith Frizzell; and Sister: Allie Gertrude Ellis

Survivors include her Grandchildren: Oliver (Christy) Lynch of Gainesboro, TN, Randall (Kisa) Biggs of Rickman, TN, and Dustin (Melina) Biggs of Gainesboro, TN; 7 Great Grandchildren; and Special Niece: Judy Martin of Hendersonville, TN.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at 2 P.M. at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home, with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 P.M. – 8 P.M., and Wednesday from 10 A.M. until time of services.
