Jewell Carwile Barlow

Funeral services for Mrs. Jewell Carwile Barlow, 94, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery in the New Hope community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 P.M. - 8 P. M., and Wednesday from 1 P.M. until time of services. She passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Mabry Health Care Center in Gainesboro, TN. She was born November 26, 1918, in Overton County, TN, to the late Leslie Carwile and Della Thrasher Carwile. On April 25, 1936, she was married to Marion "Sim" Barlow, who survives. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Fairview Free Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 4 Brothers: Layton, James, Leslie Paul, and Lloyd L. Carwile; 1 Sister: Hazel Stafford; and 1 Son-in-law: Vestal Dillon. Survivors include her Husband: Marion "Sim" Barlow of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Son: Billy (Betty Jean) Barlow of Dayton, OH; 1 Daughter: Betty Dillon of Dayton, OH; 3 Grandsons: Wayne (Tina) Dillon of Livingston, TN; Gary Dillon of Crossville, TN; Jeff (Carolyn) Dillon of Dayton, OH; 5 Great Grandchildren; 3 Great Great Grandchildren; and 1 Sister- in-law: Lillie Carwile of Gainesboro, TN.
