Funeral services for Mrs. Jessie M. McGuire, 98, of Knoxville, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, May 21, 2015, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at Beverly Park Place Health and Rehab in Knoxville, TN. She was born January 11, 1917, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Luke Minchey and Bessie Dixon Minchey. On January 16, 1937, she was married to the late Jesse Willard McGuire, who passed away July 29, 1999. She was a homemaker, and of the Methodist faith. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Son: Larry Joe McGuire; 1 Brother: Clifford Minchey; 1 Daughter-in-Law: Geri McGuire; and 1 Grandson: Brandon Kemp. Survivors include 1 Son: Wallace W. McGuire of Knoxville, TN; 2 Daughters: Sherlie (Porter) Waller of Corryton, TN, and Kathy (David) Snowden of Franklin, TN; 6 Grandchildren: Marty Waller, Kimberly Waller, Robin Tunstall, Brian McGuire, Brent McGuire, and Brandi Eyley; and 9 Great Grandchildren: Jeremiah, Bethany, Kennedy, Madison, Karson, Melia, Hallie, Rylee, and Luke. Brian Tunstall, Kim Waller, and David Snowden will officiate at the services.
