Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Wayne Maxwell 55, of Cookeville, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Thursday, December 11, 2008, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Berry Cemetery in the New Hope community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10 A.M. until time of services. Mr. Maxwell passed away on Monday, December 8, 2008, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. He was born May 2, 1953, in Detroit, Michigan, to Grace E. Poteet Anderson and the late James "J.P." Maxwell. He was married to Ethel Maxwell of Cookeville, TN who survives. He was a welder for the Mills Furniture Company. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step-father: Ray Anderson and 1 Brother: James Robert Maxwell. Survivors include his wife: Ethel Maxwell of Cookeville, TN; his mother: Grace E. Anderson of Cookeville, TN; 1 Step-Son: Larry and wife Shannon Brown of Livingston, TN; 1 Step-Daughter: Kristy and husband Charles Randolph of Cookeville, TN; 1 Brother: Terry and wife Pam Maxwell of Rickman, TN, 11 Step-Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
