Jerry Randell Strong

Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Randell Strong, 61, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 10 A.M. on Saturday, July 24, 2010, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1 P.M. - 9 P. M., and on Saturday from 8 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. He was born August 8, 1948, in Celina, TN, to the late Herbert and Maxie Strong. On July 18, 1998, he was married to Helen Strong, who survives. He worked for Lakeland Electric in Cookeville, TN, and was a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Ray Strong; and 3 Sisters: Clarene Moore, Janice Lancaster, and Sue Strong. Survivors include his Wife: Helen Strong of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Sons: Gerald Randall (Teresa) Strong of Chattanooga, TN, Randy (Paula) Givens of Granville, TN, and Danny (Tanya) Givens of the Grant community of Carthage, TN; 3 Daughters: Sandy (Jeff) Goolsby of Gosport, IN, Leslie (Chris) Comer of Gamiel, KY, and Debbie (Dewayne) Phann of Carthage, TN; 6 Brothers: James (Martha) Strong of Celina, TN, Walt (Rose) Strong of Celina, TN, Wayne (Evelyn) Strong of Gainesboro, TN, Jack Strong of Gainesboro, TN, Robert (Gail) Strong of Murfreesboro, TN, and Mitchell (Bonnie) Strong of Livingston, TN; 2 Sisters: Wanda Herbertz of Ohio, and Barbara (Ben) Hix of Gainesboro, TN; 12 Grandchildren; and 3 Great- Grandchildren.
