Funeral services for Mr. Jerry D. Denson, 63, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, March 25, 2007, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5 - 9 P.M., Saturday from 12 noon - 9 P.M., and Sunday from 12 noon - time of services. Mr. Denson passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2007, at his residence. He was born September 20, 1943, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Dewey and Rhoda Dudney Denson. On January 25, 1964, he was married to Joyce Hall Denson, who survives. He was an employee of the Gainesboro Limestone Company. He was a member of the Richmond Chapel Church of Christ and a former director of UCEMC. Mr. Denson was a former Jackson County Assessor of Property, and was a member of the board of directors of BankEast in Gainesboro. He was a lifetime member of the Jackson County Rescue Squad with 34 years of service, and was the former owner of Jerry's Caf. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Ewin L. Denson. Survivors include his wife: Joyce Hall Denson of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Sons and 1 Daughter-in-Law: Joey L. and Tammy Denson of Gainesboro, TN, and Jackie D. Denson of Fayetteville, Arkansas; 2 Grandchildren: Josh and Ashley Denson; 1 Brother and 2 Sisters-in-Law: Shirlie and Judy Denson of Cookeville, TN, and Mary Lou Denson of Livingston, TN; 1 Nephew: Tyler Denson of Cookeville, TN; and his Father-in-Law and Mother-in-Law: Willard and Jewell Hall of Gainesboro, TN. Bro. Dennis Smith will officiate at the services. Memorial donations may be made to the Jackson County Rescue Squad by contacting Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home.
