Jerry "Big Wilson" Wilson

Jerry "Big Wilson" Wilson was born on January 7, 1953 in Gainesboro, TN and he passed away at his residence on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at the age of 73.

Jerry was the son of Doy T. Wilson and Thelma Dean Reed Wilson. He was a member of Center Grove Church of Church and he owned Wilson Brothers Disposal beginning in 1970.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, David Wilson.

Survived by spouse, Frankie Wilson of Gainesboro; son Russell Wilson of Gainesboro TN; daughter, Sandy Jo (Steven) Collier of Gainesboro TN; brother, Randall Wilson of Rickman TN; grandchildren Carson Collier, Channing Collier, Clayton Collier, Crew Collier; Aunt Frances "Tootie" Anderson and sister in laws: Sandra Stout and Debbie Wilson.

Visitation will be on Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 12 pm to 8 pm and Sunday 11 am to 2 pm at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday April 26, 2026 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Ronald Strong and Bro. John Mabry officiating. Burial will follow in John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Carson Collier, Channing Collier, Crew Collier, Steven Collier, Robert Chaffin, Chris Mabry, Mike Birdwell, Tony Young, Chris Hibbs, Jimmy Whitaker, Alex Ragland and Tim Parker.

Honorary pallbearers will be Zollie Chaffin, Preacher Anderson, Wes Cassetty, Steve Frizzell, Jim Collier, Robert Petty, Tommy Ward, Tommy Elkins, Jimmy Key, Jerry Lynn, Jerry Spivey, Milton Loftis, Clayton Collier and Wayne Hix.
