Funeral services for Jerry B. Phillips, 73, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, March 31, 2019, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in the Pleasant Hill community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M., and on Sunday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Friday, March 29, 2019, at his residence. He was born October 31, 1945, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Charlie H. Phillips and Ina C. Phillips. On April 3, 1965, he was married to Cappy Phillips, who survives. He worked as a night watchman for the Jackson County Highway Department and Jackson County Solid Waste, and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Sister: Mildred Funston; and 1 Brother: Jimmy Phillips. Survivors include his Wife: Cappy Phillips of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Son: Jackie Phillips of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Grandson: Devin Phillips of Cookeville, TN; 1 Brother: Glynn (Kathy) Phillips of Gainesboro, TN; and 2 Sisters: Darlene (Jackie) Jenkins of the Dodson Branch community of Jackson County, TN, and Janice Phillips Oaks of Cookeville, TN. Bro Jimmy Anderson and Bro. Ricky Phillips will officiate at the services. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Pleasant Hill Cemetery Fund by contacting the funeral home.
