Jerline Stafford

Funeral services for Mrs. Jerline Stafford, 71, of Baxter, TN, will be held at 1 P.M. on Sunday, July 10, 2016, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Young Cemetery in the Center Grove community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3 P.M. to 9 P.M., and on Sunday from 11:30 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Friday, July 8, 2016, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 13, 1945, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Joe Smallwood and A.V. Smallwood. On December 1, 1960, she was married to the late Billy E. "Duck" Stafford, who passed away November 18, 2008. She was a homemaker, and an active member of the Center Grove Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Grandson: Steven Dewayne Stafford, Jr.; 2 Sisters: Juanita Smallwood and Joy Ann Smallwood; 1 Brother: James Smallwood; and 1 Son-in-Law: Jedediah Deming. Survivors include 2 Sons: Jimmy Stafford and Stevie (Tonya) Stafford, of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Daughters: Deb Deming of Cookeville, TN, and Kathy (Corky) Trisdale of Baxter, TN; 10 Grandchildren: Jimmy Stafford, Jr., Brandon Stafford, Tamara Stafford, Candice Stafford, Casey Stafford, Kelly (Tiffany) Deming, Jayra Deming, Samantha (Cody) Clark, Crystal (Blake) Maberry, and Tyler (Emily) Trisdale; 13 Great Grandchildren; 1 Brother: Roy A. (Betty) Smallwood of Gainesboro, TN; and 4 Sisters: Mary Nell Flatt of Baxter, TN, and Ann (Roy) Flatt, Nell Haney, and Linda (Royce) Jenkins, all of Gainesboro, TN. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. John Mabery will officiate at the services.
