Memorial services for Mr. Jefferson F. Smith, 87, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held Saturday, October 2, 2010, at 1 P.M. at the Sonlight Baptist Church. Interment will take place at a later date at the Cartersville Cemetery in Cartersville, KY. He was born in Jackson County, TN to the late Harrison and Ethel Spivey Smith. He bwas married to Sallie Mae Smith, who survives. He was a retired General Motors Press Operator and a member of the Sonlight Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother: James Smith; 1 Sister: Vivian Stafford; 3 Nieces and 3 Nephews. Survivors include his wife: Sallie Mae Smith of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Linda Cains of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Grandchildren: Danny (Pamela) Knisely of Gainesboro, TN; Amanda Cains of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Great-Grandchildren: Brooklyn Knisely and Maggie Knisely; 1 Sister: Lillie (Lloyd) Carwile of Gainesboro, TN; 4 Nephews and 1 Niece.
