Funeral services for Mr. J.B. Ragland, 69, of Goodlettsville, and formerly of Jackson County, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, October 20, 2012, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery in the Flynn's Lick community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., and on Saturday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at his residence in Goodlettsville, TN. He was born December 24, 1942 in Jackson County, TN, to the late John W. and Nellie Meadows Ragland. He was a lineman for Nashville Electric Service and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 5 Brothers: Bryon, Wesley, Ralph, A.C., and Kenneth Ragland. Survivors include his 2 Sons: Steven Ragland of Goodlettsville, TN; and David Ragland of Hendersonville, TN; 1 Daughter: Stacey (John) Gleixner of Goodlettsville, TN; 2 Grandchildren: Chad and Sandra Gleixner; 3 Great- Grandchildren: Anna and Joshua Swearingen and Logan Gleixner; 2 Sisters: Lois (Loyd) Walker and Janet Pryor, both of Gainesboro, TN and Special Friend: Louise Rawley of Madison, TN Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Richmond Cemetery by contacting the funeral home.
