Funeral services for Mrs. Janie "Polly" Clinton, 71, of Cookeville, TN, will be held at 1 P.M. on Sunday, June 16, 2019, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Burris Cemetery in Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2 P.M. - 7 P.M., and Sunday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away Thursday, June 13, 2019, at her residence. She was born November 12, 1947, in Jackson County, TN, to the late B. Ballard and Rettie Mansell Ballard. She was married to Charles "Rod" Clinton, who survives. She worked at Nielsen, and was a member of the Freewill Church of Christ. Survivors include her Husband: Charles "Rod" Clinton of Cookeville, TN; 1 Son: Tim Clinton of Cookeville, TN; 1 Daughter: Becky Clinton Grist and Rob Gaw of Cookeville, TN; 1 Grandson: Ridge Clinton Kennedy of Cookeville, TN; 1 Brother: Richard (Patsy) Ballard of Cookeville, TN; and 3 Sisters: Norma (Kenner) Hawkins of Cookeville, TN, Debbie Chaffin of Baxter, TN, and Anita Rhoten of Hilham, TN. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Wayne Crossman will officiate at the services.
