Graveside services for Janie May Benson, 64, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021, at 2 P.M. at the Clark Cemetery in Macon County, TN. Bro. David Sisco will officiate. There will be no visitation or services at the funeral home. She passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at her residence. She was born September 24, 1956, in Jackson County, TN to the late Bernice Newberry and Maude Raines Newberry. She was married to Horace Benson, who survives. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Sister: Belinda Roark. Survivors include her Husband: Horace Benson of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Sons: Josh Stafford of Gamaliel, KY and Jacob Newberry of Whitleyville; Step Daughters: Jenny Benson and Sabrina Benson; and 2 Sisters: Rita Biggs of Gainesboro, TN, and Betty Tuck of Red Boiling Springs, TN; Grandchildren, Brody Newberry, Landon Newberry, and Leila Newberry. Memorial donations may be made to the Brody Newberry College Fund by contacting the funeral home.
