Janie Lou Smith

Funeral services for Miss Janie Lou Smith, 67, of the Fairview community of Jackson County, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Monday, September 26, at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Peek Cemetery in the Harmony community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Monday from 8:30 A.M. until time of services at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Miss Smith passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2005, at the Tennessee Christian Medical Center in Madison, TN. She was born August 23, 1938, in Jackson County, Tennessee, to the late Henry Dee Smith and Bessie Stafford Smith. Miss Smith was a homemaker, and was affiliated with the Harmony Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 Brothers: Harvey Smith, Lonnie Smith, and Eldon Smith; 1 Sister-in-Law: Doris Smith; and 2 Nephews: Larry Smith and Joe Scott. Survivors include 1 Brother: Robert T. Smith of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Sister-in-Law: Dean Smith of Watertown, TN; 1 Sister and Brother-in-Law: Virgie Marie and Hamp Scott of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Uncle: Johnny Stafford of Gainesboro, TN; and a Special Friend: Tennie Hunter of Gainesboro, TN.
