Janie Gail Hix

Janie Gail Sisco Hix was born June 29, 1950 in Jackson County, TN and she passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, in Cookeville Regional Medical Center at the age of 73.

She was the daughter of Wilburn Odell and Nellie Cleo Law Sisco.  She was a factory worker and caregiver along with being a member of the Cubb Creek Church of Christ.

Mrs. Janie was preceded in death by parents, husband, Billy E. Hix died Sept. 12, 2022; Brothers, Dean, Bill and Ricky Sisco. Grandchildren,  Raylei Angel Mayberry and Alli Fayeth Mayberry.

Survivors include her daughters, Lisa (Jeff) Locke of Whitleyville, Shelia (Crystal) Hix of Gainesboro and Angie (Danny Mayberry) of Whitleyville.  Sisters,  Sue Matthews, Linda Matthews, Nita Smith, Darlene (Rudolph) Smallwood, and Ann Sisco, all of Gainesboro, TN; Brothers, Brothers: Joe (Sandy) Sisco and Mike (Veronica) Sisco both of Gainesboro;  Sister-in-Laws,  Joan (Bill) Sisco of Gainesboro,  Janette (Dean) Sisco of Gainesboro and Brenda (Rick) of Florida; Grandchildren, Ashley (Matthew) Stafford, Justin (Brooke) Locke, Tristin (Mandy) Randolph, McKinzi Turner, Dustee Savage and  Lyndi-Mae Savage; 14 Great Grandchildren.  Other relatives and many friends also survive.

Visitation will be on Saturday, July 29, 2023, 10 am to 3 pm at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at 3 pm on Saturday, July 29, 2023, with Bro. John D. Sisco officiating.  Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to assist with funeral expenses.
