Janet Allen

Janet Roberts Allen was born February 22, 1947 in Jackson County, TN and she passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center at the age of 74. She was the daughter of Everett Earl Roberts and Lydia Frances Stout Roberts. She was a beautician and a member of the New Salem Church of Christ. She was married to Ronnie J. Allen who passed way on August 12, 2020. Janet was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ronnie J. Allen, brother, Gary Roberts and sister, Marcia Farley. Survivors include son, Ricky (Christie) Allen of Gainesboro; daughter, Kristi (Anthony) Brown of Gainesboro, brother, Jimmy Roberts of Gainesboro; sister, Phyllis Oquendo of Nashville; grandchildren, Dylan (Cameron) Brown, Chelsea Brown, MaKayla Allen and Hadyn Allen; great grandchild, Cooper Jared Brown. Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, 4-8 pm at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home and again on Wednesday, 11 am to 2 pm. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 2 pm in the Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in New Salem Cemetery. Memorials maybe made to the New Salem Cemetery by contacting the funeral home.
