James Willard Hall

Funeral services for Mr. James Willard Hall, 84, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Tuesday, January 27, 2009, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12 Noon - 8 P.M., and Tuesday from 10 A.M. until time of services. Mr. Hall passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2009, at his residence. He was born October 18, 1924, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Arthur L. and Nora Pharris Hall. On April 21, 1944, he was married to Jewell Lynn Hall, who survives. He was a rural letter carrier, former school bus driver, and trucker. He was a member of the Hurricane Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Arthur Hall, Jr.; 3 Sisters: Dorothy Poteet, Barbara Evins, and Betty Hall; 1 Brother-in-Law: Homer Bybee; and 1 Son-in-Law: Jerry Denson. Survivors include his Wife: Jewell Lynn Hall of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Son: Roger (Vivian) Hall of Cookeville, TN; 1 Daughter: Joyce Denson of Gainesboro, TN; 5 Grandchildren: Joey (Tammy) Denson of Gainesboro, TN, Jackie Denson of Arkansas, Valerie (Herman) Stanfill of Cookeville, TN, Rebecca (Dr. Scott) Huddleston of Johnson City, TN, and Megan Hall & Trey Piepmeier of Nashville, TN; 2 Great-Grandchildren: Josh and Ashley Denson; 2 Step-Great-Grandchildren: Martina and Shay Stanfill; 4 Brothers: Sam (Merlene) Hall of Gainesboro, TN, Robert (Katherine) Hall, Carlos Ray (Alberta) Hall, and Bill (Hilda) Hall, all of Cookeville, TN; 2 Brothers-in- Law: Sam Poteet and James Evins; and 1 Sister: Gladys Bybee of Gainesboro, TN. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. James Bybee will officiate at the services.
