James Parsons

Celebration of Life Services for James Parsons, age 59, of Cookeville, Tennessee, will be conducted on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, Tennessee.

Mr. Parsons was born on Sunday, June 6, 1965, in Virginia, to the late John Weyant and Elaine Gilmore Weyant of Fairfield Glade, Tennessee.

Mr. Parsons passed away on Friday, September 27, 2024, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

James was a sales manager working with Stover’s Liquidation for 25 years. He attended Smith Memorial Church. He was a former member of the United States Army Reserve.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of almost 23 years, Dawn King Parsons of Cookeville, TN; grandchildren, Arielle Williams, Sebastian Morgan, and Nala Heist; brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Mary Weyant of Crossville, TN; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jerry and Jo King of Gainesboro, TN; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Travis and Cherie King of Cookeville, TN; special aunt, Peggy Smith of Sparta, TN and several nieces and nephews

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kayla Morgan; granddaughter, Jasmine Morgan; and brothers, George Lanning and Freddie.

The family will receive friends at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home on Sunday, November 10, 2024, from 9:00 AM until time of services at 3:00 PM.
