Funeral services for Mr. James Loftis, 59, of the Dodson Branch community of Jackson County, TN, will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday, June 22, 2015, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Cookeville, TN. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 P.M. - 8 P.M. and on Monday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2015, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. He was born January 8, 1956, in Detroit, MI, to the late Robert Loftis and Annie Loftis. He was retired from Ford Motor Company. He loved the Detroit Tigers, Lions, and Red Wings. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents: Troy B. and Maggie Hensley; and his Paternal Grandparents: Russell and Ethel Loftis. Survivors include 1 Son: Robert (Melody) Loftis, Jr. of Taylor, MI; 1 Daughter: Kristy (Mark) Duvall of Taylor, MI; 3 Grandchildren: Andrew, Jacob, and Emily; 2 Brothers: Earl Loftis of the Dodson Branch community, and Jimmy Loftis of Michigan; and 3 Sisters: Kathy Justice of Woodhaven, MI, Margaret Loftis of the Dodson Branch community, and Joyce Olmeda of Taylor, MI.
