James L. Forkum

Funeral services for Mr. James L. Forkum, age 89, a resident of Gainesboro, TN, will be held Thursday, June 12, 2008, at 11 A.M. at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2 P.M. - 9 P.M., and on Thursday from 9 A.M until the time of services. Mr. Forkum passed away on Monday, June 9, 2008, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born March 6, 1919, in Jackson County, Tennessee, to the late Robert Lee (Bob) and Georgia Clark Forkum. On November 6, 2001, he was married to Margaret Richardson Forkum, who survives. He was a tool and die supervisor and a member of the Gainesboro Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Dorothy Watts Forkum; 1 Sister: Louise Young; and 1 Nephew: Steve Forkum. Survivors include his Wife: Margaret Richardson Forkum of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Sherry Lynn Forkum; 1 Brother and Sister-in-Law: Lyman and Jo Anna Forkum of Red Boiling Springs, TN; 1 Niece: Patsy Bowman; and 1 Nephew: Garnett Forkum.
