Funeral services for Mr. James H. Scott, 83, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 11 A.M. on Sunday, January 7, 2018, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Stacy Cemetery on Old Antioch Road in Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M. and on Sunday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at his residence. He was born April 16, 1934, in Burkesville, KY, to the late William Preston Scott and Zelma Thompson Scott. He was a business owner of a grocery store and car lots. He also served in the U.S. Air Force. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 Brothers: Boyd Scott, Audie Scott, Joe Scott, and Dickie Scott; and 4 Sisters: Josephine Waddell, Billy Sorter, Helen Branson, and Pauline Rich. Survivors include 2 Brothers: Roger Scott of Maryville, TN, and Jerry Scott of Columbus, OH; and 1 Sister: Christine McMahan of Galesburg, IL.
