James "Goober" Goolsby

Funeral services for Mr. James Ronnie "Goober" Goolsby, 58, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 1 P.M. on Friday, September 18, 2015, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Hensley Cemetery in the Freewill community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4 P.M. to 9 P.M. and on Friday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Monday, September 14, 2015, at his residence. He was born November 19, 1956, in Jackson County, TN, to Edith Goolsby and the late Fred Willis Goolsby. On August 6, 1982, he was married to Teresa Mayberry Goolsby, who survives. He was a machinist at Dacco, and a member of the Church of Christ at Freewill. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Donnie Leon Goolsby and Kenneth Owen Goolsby. Survivors include his Wife: Teresa Mayberry Goolsby of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Son: David Matthew (Danielle) Goolsby of Rickman, TN; his Mother: Edith Goolsby of Gainesboro, TN; and 3 Sisters: Kathy (Danny) Hembree of Cookeville, TN, Sue (Mike) Stacy of Gainesboro, TN, and Connie (Ronald) Scott of Celina, TN. Bro. Wayne Crossman and Bro. Alan Judd will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hensley Cemetery fund by contacting the funeral home.
