Funeral services for Mr. James Edward Rice, 52, of Westmoreland, Tennessee, will be held at 3 P.M. on Friday, July 3, 2009, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Stacy Cemetery in the Old Antioch community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10 A.M. until time of services. Mr. Rice passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at his residence in Westmoreland, TN. He was born April 3, 1957, in Lebanon, TN, to the late Horace Lee and Rose Lee Stacy Rice. On May 17, 1985, he was married to Dena Faye Rice, who survives. He was a roofer and carpenter, and a member of the Lafayette First Assembly of God. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 Sisters: Rose Marie Champion and Betty Jean Sullivan; 1 Grandchild: Baby Girl Lunn; and 1 Nephew: Derek Wayne Rice. Survivors include his Wife: Dena Faye Rice of Westmoreland, TN; 2 Sons: Jonathan Edward (Sabrina) Rice of Smyrna, TN, and Rusty Edward Rice of Westmoreland, TN; 2 Daughters: Amanda Jean Rice of Wartrace, TN, and Amie Faye Rice of Westmoreland, TN; 1 Step-Daughter: Sarah Lynn Manavong of Murfreesboro, TN; 6 Grandchildren; his Fianc: Diane Lee Wydner of Westmoreland, TN; 1 Brother: Michael Wayne Rice of Westmoreland, TN; and 1 Sister: Judy Lynn (James) Tomlin of Beech Grove, TN.
