Funeral services for Mr. James Edward Morgan, 90, of the New Hope community of Jackson County, TN, will be held at 1 P.M. on Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Poplar Springs Cemetery in Overton County, TN. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Mabry Health Care Center in Gainesboro, TN. He was born April 2, 1928, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Lester C. Morgan and Catherine Morgan. He was married to the late Virginia Morgan. He worked as a technician for Collins Radio Corporation, and was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 4 Brothers: Austin Morgan, Cecil Morgan, Billy Morgan, and Donald Morgan; and 1 Sister: Linda Morgan. Survivors include 1 Son: William Morgan of Michigan; 1 Daughter: Rebecca Morgan of Algood, TN; 1 Grandson: Brandon Morgan; 2 Brothers: Robert (Virginia) Morgan of Lynchburg, TN, and Clay (Kay) Morgan of Portland, TN; and 2 Sisters: Maggie Fetzer of Cookeville, TN, and Louise Collins of Gallatin, TN.
