Mr. James Edward Cox, 69, of Livingston, Tennessee, and formerly of Gainesboro, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2015, at Livingston Regional Hospital in Livingston, TN. The family has chosen cremation. Memorial graveside services with military honors will be held on Friday, January 16, 2015 at 2 P.M. at the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. There will be no visitation or services at the funeral home. He was born July 12, 1945, in Nashville, TN, to the late Edd Cox and Sarah Whetstone Cox Settles. He was married to the late Deborah Stewart Cox. He was a truck driver in the automobile industry and was affiliated with the Okolona United Methodist Church in Livingston, TN. He served in the U. S. Army. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Son: Charles Robert Cox, 1 Daughter: Sharon Rene Cox; 3 Brothers: Roy, Keith, and Jimmy Settles; and 1 Sister: Mary Jo Pipes. Survivors include his Son: James Keith (Amy) Cox of Jamestown, TN; 3 Daughters: Angela (Roger) Colwell of Bethpage, TN, Diane (John) Freeman of Goodlettsville, TN, and Jamie Rebecca Hawkins of Livingston, TN; 10 Grandchildren: Eric Edward Brown, Shane Alexander Brown, Derrick Keith Jamison, Kevin Michael Jamison, Jonathan Kody Jamison, Sarah Ann Jamison, Haley Beth Hawkins, Noah Wade Hawkins, Robert Ean Cox, and Joseph Parker Cox; 3 Great-Grandchildren: Leah Joslyn Brown, Zachary Cole Brown, and Michael Alan Meader; and the Mother of His Children: Ellen Gayle Cox.
