James Earnest Litchford

Funeral services for Mr. James Earnest Litchford, 78, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 11 A.M. on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M., and on Tuesday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017, at Signature Health Care Center in Algood, TN. He was born April 15, 1939, in Cookeville, TN, to the late Thomas and Bessie Litchford. On June 4, 1966 he was married to Mary Ann Rush Litchford, who survives. He was a factory worker in the furniture industry and attended New Hope Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Howard Litchford and 1 Grandchild: James Hammock. Survivors include his Wife: Mary Ann Rush Litchford of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Son: Stanley (Hessie) Litchford of Cookeville, TN; 2 Daughters: Melissa Netherton and Teressa (Chris) Paulk, both of Gainesboro, TN; 5 Grandchildren: Gabriel, Jenney, and Madison Litchford; Ashley and C.J. Scantland; 1 Brother: Fred (Elaine) Litchford of Cookeville, TN; and 3 Sisters: Jean Cooper and Betty Graham, both of Sparta, TN and Mabel (Bobby) Gilreath of Crossville, TN. Bro.
