Funeral services for James Earl Goolsby, 71, of the Old Antioch community of Jackson County, TN, will be held at 1 P.M. on Monday, July 6, 2020, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Stacy Cemetery in the Old Antioch community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Monday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Friday, July 3, 2020, at his residence. He was born March 31, 1949, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Bill Goolsby and Willie B. Stacy Goolsby. On November 23, 1968, he was married to Barbara Sue Goolsby, who survives. He worked in fiberglass boat repair. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Son: Frankie Goolsby; and 1 Brother: Tommy Goolsby. Survivors include his Wife: Barbara Sue Goolsby of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Son: Steven Goolsby of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: April (Jason) Spivey of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Brothers: Jr. (Debbie) Goolsby of Gainesboro, TN, and Charles (Glenda) Goolsby of Gallatin, TN; 2 Sisters: Betty (Paul) Perry of Gainesboro, TN, and Evelyn (Don) Dickens of Gallatin, TN; Grandchildren: Whitney Goolsby and fianc Ryan Murphy, Alyssa Spivey and boyfriend Lucas Boles, Frankie Mabry, A J Spivey, and Asialyn Goolsby; and Great Grandchild: Liam Boles. Bro. Danny Hembree will officiate at the services.
