James E. Allen

James E. Allen was born April 17, 1943, in Jackson County, TN and he passed away at Cookeville Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at the age of 79. He was the son of the late Tom D. Allen and Ora P. Hensley Allen. On July 5, 1962, he was married to Mary Sue Allen, who survives. He was a logger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Brothers: Arbie J. Allen and Haskell Allen; Sister: Dimple Pippin; and Great Grandchild: Lucy Loftis. Survivors include his Wife: Mary Sue Allen of Cookeville, TN; Son: James Leonard Allen of Cookeville, TN; Daughters: Michelle (Jerry) Rhoten of Whitleyville, TN, and Nicki (Tommy) Hicks of Gainesboro, TN; Sister: Jewel Pippin of Cookeville, TN; Grandchildren: Travis Rhoten, Amanda Scantland, Danielle Allen, Shana Jo Allen, Special Grandson: Eric Allen, Mary Beth Lynn, James Allen, Hunter Hicks, and Dylan Hicks; and 5 Great Grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at 3 P.M. at the Allen Family Cemetery located at 325 Cab Anderson Lane, Cookeville, TN 38501. There will be no visitation or services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to assist with funeral expenses by contacting the business office of the funeral home.
