Funeral services for Mr. James C. Hix, 72, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 12:30 P.M. on Thursday, September 10, 2009, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Thursday from 11 A.M. until time of services. Mr. Hix passed away on Monday, September 7, 2009, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. He was born August 29, 1937, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Winton and Brina Allen Hix. On August 30, 1990, he was married to Betty C. Hix, who survives. He was a supervisor for the Twin Lakes Telephone Cooperative right-of-way crew. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Step-Grandson: Joseph Parker; 1 Sister: Ann McConnell; 1 Sister-in-Law: Belinda Hix; and 1 Step-Daughter: Audrey Carol Key. Survivors include his Wife: Betty C. Hix of Gainesboro, TN; 4 Sons: William (Karen) Hix, Daniel (Anita) Hix, and Ronnie Hix, all of Gainesboro, TN, and Steven Edward Hix of Baxter, TN; 2 Step-Sons: Billy (Delisa) Spivey of Gainesboro, TN, and Jimmy (Debbie) Spivey of Dayton, OH; 1 Step-Daughter: Sissy Goolsby of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Grandchildren: Lacretia D. Hix, Lucas Hix, and Monica Hix; 1 Brother: Jimmy Hix of Dayton, OH; and 1 Sister: Loraine (Johnny) Mayfield of Dayton, OH. 9 Step-Grandchildren also survive. Bro.
