Funeral services for Mr. James Barry Adams, 60, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 3 P.M. on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5 P.M. - 9 P.M. and on Tuesday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Friday, May 22, 2015, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. He was born July 20, 1954, in Cookeville, TN, to James Adams and Glenna Brown Adams. He was married to Laura Heady Adams, who survives. He was an emergency room RN, and was affiliated with the Dudney's Hill Church of Christ. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. Survivors include his Wife: Laura Heady Adams of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Sons: Michael Adams and wife, Shan, of New York, and Chris Adams of Nashville, TN; 1 Daughter: Stephanie (Jason) Aguilar of Knoxville, TN; 4 Step-Children: Derek Miller, Deidre Miller, Danielle Wangler, and Kiara Meadows; his Parents: James and Glenna Brown Adams of Ridgetop, TN; 1 Brother: Scott (Kim) Adams of Greenbrier, TN; 1 Sister: Kim (Ronnie) Holt of Hendersonville, TN; Special Niece: Haley Sims; and 1 Step Grandchild: Joleigh Miller.
