James B. Caruthers

Funeral services for Mr. James B. Caruthers, 67, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 10 A.M. on Friday, July 17, 2009, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Friday from 9 A.M. until time of services. Mr. Caruthers passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at his residence in Gainesboro, TN. He was born May 26, 1942, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Luther and Anna Mai Caruthers. On July 6, 1999, he was married to Gail Caruthers, who survives. He was a retired employee of Vought Aircraft in Nashville, and a farmer. He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Jackie Lee Caruthers; 1 Sister: Willa Dean Hammock; and 1 Grandson: David Nathaniel Fraizer, Jr. Survivors include his Wife: Gail Caruthers of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Step-Son: Mitch Tarpley of Statesville, TN; 1 Daughter: Patty (Michael) Davis of Livingston, TN; 2 Step-Daughters: Wendy (Scott) Odum of Lebanon, TN, and Dusty (David) Fraizer of Lebanon, TN; 5 Grandchildren: Keyna and Jon Davis, Austin Edwards, Whitley Tarpley, and Izabel Fraizer; 1 Great-Grandson: Hayden Davis; 2 Brothers: Draper (Norma Jean) Caruthers of California, and Bobby (Pam) Caruthers of Cookevfille, TN; and 4 Sisters: Grace Sloan, Minnie Lou (Buddy) Goolsby, Stella (Alfred) Flatt, and Mary Sue (Arvil) Flatt, all of Gainesboro, TN.
