Funeral services for Mr. James A. Dyer, 81, of Cookeville, TN, will be held at 1 P.M. on Thursday, July 26, 2018, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Edmond Dyer Cemetery in Putnam County, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born October 31, 1936, in Putnam County, TN, to the late Frank Dyer and Magdalene Dyer. He was a farmer, and traveled to 49 of the 50 states. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Wife: Marie Dyer. Survivors include 1 Daughter: Carla (Donnie) Tidwell of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Grandchildren: Dusty (Jessica) Tidwell of Cookeville, TN, and Cindel (Danny) Allen of Cookeville, TN; 3 Great Grandchildren: Paisley Tidwell, Levi Tidwell, and Lilyanna Allen; and 1 Brother: Marvin (Sue) Dyer of Cookeville, TN. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services.
