Funeral services for Jacob Wesley Stafford, 43, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday, January 31, 2020, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Friday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2020, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born November 13, 1976, in Jackson County, TN, to Donnie Stafford and Shira Stafford. On July 30, 2005, he was married to the late Sarah Lorene York "Bear" Stafford, who passed away October 22, 2015. He worked as a correction officer at the Jackson County Sheriff's Department, and was affiliated with the Beech Grove Church of Christ. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by Maternal Grandparents: Carsey and Gwen Sircy; and Paternal Grandfather: Doyle Pete Stafford. Survivors include his Parents: Donnie and Shira Stafford of Gainesboro, TN; Paternal Grandmother: Mildred Brown of Gainesboro, TN; Special Aunts: Cathy Stafford of Whitleyville, TN, Patricia Winegar of Gainesboro, TN, and Brenda Cannon of Gainesboro, TN; and Father and Mother in Law: Gary and Evie York of Red Boiling Springs, TN. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services.
