Funeral services for Mr. Jack Ray Vanderpool, 77, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Friday, October 17, 2014, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow at 3 P.M. at the Bethlehem Cemetery in Wilson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Friday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at his residence. He was born February 12, 1937, in Sumner County, TN, to the late Andy Vanderpool and Margie Mofield Vanderpool. On December 28, 1980, he was married to Jerry Arlene Vanderpool, who survives. He was the former owner of Fire Safety and Equipment Company. He was a member of the Bangham Heights Baptist Church, and former member of First Baptist Church in Goodlettsville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 6 Brothers: Andy, Tom, Thomas, Alvin, Foster, and Edward Vanderpool; and 1 Sister: Nancy Keith. Survivors include his Wife: Jerry Arlene Vanderpool of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Sons: Jackie Michael Vanderpool of Orlinda, TN, and Randy Ray (Brenda) Vanderpool of Cottontown, TN; 1 Daughter: Lori Ann Vanderpool (David) Russell of Goodlettsville, TN; 1 Step-Daughter: Vicki Renfro of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Step-Son: Jesse (Sandra) James of Cross Plains, TN; 12 Grandchildren; 12 Great-Grandchildren; 2 Sisters: Margaret Watkins of Brentwood, TN, and Callie Starks of Myrtle Beach, SC; and Special Friend: Kevin Wright of Gainesboro, TN.
