Jack R. Jenkins

Funeral services for Mr. Jack R. Jenkins, 69, of Whitleyville, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, August 1, 2013, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Cubb Creek Cemetery in the Cubb Creek community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Thursday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Monday, July 29, 2013, at his residence. He was born August 18, 1943, in Sumner County, TN, to Rita Sloan Jenkins and the late Jack E. Jenkins. He was a mechanic and cycle shop owner, and a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Brock E. Jenkins. Survivors include 1 Son: Scott B. (Tina) Jenkins of Asheville, NC; 2 Daughters: Tammy Jenkins (Glen) Alexander of Whitleyville, TN, and Jacqueline "Jeannie" Jenkins of Asheville, NC; his Mother: Rita Sloan Jenkins of Whitleyville, TN; 3 Grandchildren: Erica Jenkins, William Tyler Jenkins, and Brandy - Lee Alexander; and 2 Aunts: Katherine Richardson of Nashville, TN, and Lois Smith of Dickson, TN.
