Funeral services for Mr. Jack Lee Smith, 62, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Smith Family Cemetery in Gainesboro, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 P.M. - 8 P. M., with Masonic service on Tuesday at 8 P.M. Visitation will also be Wednesday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2014, at his residence. He was born March 21, 1952, in Gainesboro, TN, to James E. Smith and the late Carol Sadler Shealy. He was married to Karen Lynn Smith, who survives. He was a real estate land developer, and a member of Tannehill Lodge #133 F&AM. He also served as a Jackson County Commissioner for 27 years. He was preceded in death by his Mother: Carol Sadler Shealy; 1 Sister: Kathy Ann Smith; his Paternal Grandparents: Herman and Josie Smith; and his Maternal Grandparents: John and Clifford Sadler. Survivors include his Wife: Karen Lynn Smith of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Son: James Herman Smith of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Jacquie (Gary) Flynn of Gainesboro, TN; 4 Grandchildren: Corey Flynn, Mckenzie Flynn, Alexxis Flynn, and Ashton Smith; his Father: James E. Smith of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Brother: Fred (Angelia) Smith of Cookeville, TN; 1 Sister: Kaye Smith Mathis of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Nephew: Beau (Kara) Smith of Cookeville, TN; and 1 Niece: Jessica (Robert) Williams of Cookeville, TN. Bro. Tom Lyles will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Charlie Norton Christmas Fund by contacting the funeral home.
