Funeral services for J. Kathy Pippin, 67, of Baxter, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Union Hill - Flatt Cemetery on Shepardsville Road in Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Wednesday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born February 23, 1950, in Putnam County, TN, to the late J. Fred Pippin and Mary Evelyn Way Pippin. She was a retired cosmetologist, and owner of J. Fred Pippin Construction and the Twin Lakes Catfish Farm. She was a member of the Union Hill Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Grandchild: J.E. Pippin; and 1 Sister: Mary Alice Pippin. Survivors include 1 Son: Greg (Linda) Pippin of Baxter, TN; 2 Daughters: Lesette Pippin of Baxter, TN, and Greta (Wade) Hurst of Baxter, TN; and 4 Grandchildren: Lindsey Pippin, Lacey Pippin, Jasper Lane Pippin, and Gracey Hurst. A host of cousins, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Bill Flatt, Bro. Steve Bowman, and Bro. Stan Gantt will officiate at the services.
