Funeral services for Mr. J B Harper, 92, of Cookeville, TN, will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, September 15, 2018, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Saturday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at his residence. He was born June 7, 1926, in Gainesboro, TN, to the late Henry Harper and Betty Harper. He was married to Georgia Fulton Harper, who survives. He was a factory worker at Russell Stover Candy Co., and a member of the Gainesboro First Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Wife: Dorothy Harper; 1 Brother: Jack Harper; and 2 Sisters: Ruth Lester and Georgia Netherton. Survivors include his Wife: Georgia Fulton Harper of Cookeville, TN; 1 Son: Donnie (Shirley) Harper of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Tina (Monty) Kemp of Cookeville, TN; 5 Grandchildren: Chris (Celeste) Kemp, Natasha (Zane) Moseley, Wayne (Jackie) Harper, Sherry Apple, and Jason (Keisha) Harper; 6 Great - Grandchildren: Calijah Kemp, Izabell Moseley, Alec Harper, Hannah Martin, James Martin, and Khloe Harper; 4 Great Great Grandchildren; and 1 Sister: Sue Miller of KY.
