Ithel Levi Skipper

Funeral services for Mr. Ithel Levi Skipper, 83, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, December 1, at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Thursday from 11 A.M. until time of services at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Mr. Skipper passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2005, at his residence in the Richmond Chapel community of Jackson County. He was born March 25, 1922, in Cullman, Alabama, to the late Eddie Skipper and Lura Self Baggett. On September 19, 1986, he was married to Linda Skipper, who survives. Mr. Skipper was a carpenter and cabinet maker. He was affiliated with the Richmond Chapel Church of Christ. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents: Eddie Skipper and Lura Self Baggett; 1 Sister: Persia Harvison; and 4 Half-Brothers: Grady Baggett, Kyle Baggett, Buford Baggett, and Ed Skipper. Survivors include His wife: Linda Skipper of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Son: Ronnie Skipper of Nashville, TN; 1 Daughter: Patricia Haffner of Columbia, TN; 3 Grandchildren: Zachary Ross Skipper, Lindsay Skipper, and Henry Clay Haffner; 3 Half - Brothers: Morris Gene Skipper, Dalton Skipper, and Beul Skipper, all of California; 1 Special Niece: Jeanine Robinson of Alabama; and 1 Special Friend: Ashley Tippit of Gainesboro, TN. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Bro. O'Neal Huffines will officiate at the services.
