Funeral services for Mrs. Inez Hix Ellis Bremer, 86, of Cookeville, TN, will be held at 1 P.M. on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at Woodcrest at the Blakeford in Nashville, TN. She was born July 23, 1931, in Gainesboro, TN, to the late Charlie and Mary Nell Hix. She was married to the late Charles Ellis and Dr. John Paul Bremer. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Church of Christ. She enjoyed sewing and bowling. She loved children. In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Son: Larry Richard Ellis; and 3 Brothers: Eugene, Joe, and Charles Hix. Survivors include 1 Daughter: Teresa (Warren) Tardy of Brentwood, TN; 1 Granddaughter: Elizabeth Tardy of Franklin, TN; 1 Great - Grandson: Hayden Grogan of Franklin, TN; 2 Sisters: Ann Thompson of Gainesboro, TN and Elizabeth Hooten of Nashville, TN; and 1 Brother-in-law: Bobby (June) Ellis of Hendersonville, TN Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Happy Haven Home by contacting the funeral home.
