Funeral services for Mrs. Inez Cassetty, 74, of the North Springs community of Jackson County, Tennessee, will be held at 10 A.M. on Monday, January 22, 2007, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3 - 8 P.M., and on Monday from 9 A.M. until time of services. Mrs. Cassetty passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2007, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born December 12, 1932, in the Big Bottom community of Jackson County, TN, to the late Rad and Minnie Hix Spivey. On May 29, 1953, in the Gladdice community, she was married to the late Billy Jay Cassetty, who passed away on July 16, 1990. She was a retired supervisor for the Head Start Center in North Springs. She was a 1950 graduate of Jackson County High School and was of the Church of Christ belief. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Granddaughter: Meagan Cassetty; and 7 Siblings: Etoile Allen, Bill Murphy, Tab, Lee, Earl, Bud, and Rex Spivey. Survivors include 3 Children: Dale Cassetty Dawes and husband Billy of Highland, Kelly Cassetty and wife Karen of North Springs, and Jay Cassetty and wife Penny of Gainesboro; 3 Sisters: Virginia Phillips, Verone Bybee and husband John, all of Gainesboro, and Peggy Hall and husband Sam of Cookeville; 7 Grandchildren: Melissa Dawes Smith, Jenny Dawes Brown and husband Tony, Tyler Cassetty, Taylor and Daniel Dawes, and Raechel and Leah Cassetty; and 2 Great - Grandchildren: Jessica Smith and Kendrick Brown. Dewayne Chaffin and Jerry Cherry will officiate at the services. Memorial donations may be made to the Jackson - Smith County Youth Camp by contacting Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home.
