Ina Anderson Phillips

Funeral services for Mrs. Ina C. Anderson Phillips, 79, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, September 21, at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in the Pleasant Hill community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10 A.M. - 9 P.M., and Wednesday from 9 A.M. until time of services at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Mrs. Phillips passed away on Monday, September 19, 2005, at her residence. She was born December 29, 1925, in Jackson County, Tennessee, to the late Marshall Anderson and Alva Barlow Anderson. On April 19, 1941, she was married to Charlie H. Phillips, who passed away on March 11, 1977. Mrs. Phillips was a homemaker, and a member of the Burristown Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Son: Jimmy Phillips; 1 Daughter: Mildred Funston; 1 Brother: Odell Anderson: 1 Sister: Estelle Boles: 4 Grandchildren: Charlene Heady, Randall Heady, Charles Heady, and Tracy Gore; 1 Step- Brother: Carlos Hammock; and her step-mother: Gertie Anderson. Survivors include 2 Sons and Daughters-in-Law: Jerry & Cappy Phillips, and Glynn & Kathy Phillips, all of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Daughters and Sons-in-Law: Darlene & Jackie Jenkins of Gainesboro, TN, and Janice & Jamie Oaks of Baxter, TN; 9 Grandchildren: Jackie Phillips, Melissa Phillips, Steven Phillips, Jamie Jones, Jennifer White, Larry Hopkins, Jr., Jarett Hopkins, Jackie Jenkins, Jr., and Dustin Jenkins; 1 Step- Grandchild: Tyler Oakes; 4 Great-Grandchildren: Devin Phillips, Joseph Lynch, Olivia Jones, and Dawson Hopkins; 2 Step-Great Grandchildren: Wade & Jarrett White; 5 Step- Brothers: Joe Anderson, Paul Anderson, and Olen Anderson, all of Gainesboro, TN, James Anderson of Livingston, TN, and Ernest Anderson of Dayton, OH; 1 Sister: Izell Noble of Hazard, KY; and 3 Step-Sisters: Idell Hammock of Gainesboro, TN; and Wanda Anderson and Jeraldine Scott, both of Dayton, OH.
