Funeral services for Mrs. Ila Mae Chaffin Anderson, 96, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, January 4, 2015, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Rash Cemetery in the Antioch community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Sunday from 12 Noon until time of services. She passed away on Friday, January 2, 2015, at the Mabry Health Care Center in Gainesboro, TN. She was born February 15, 1918 in Jackson County, TN, to the late James Whitman Chaffin and Sally Loma Gentry Chaffin. On October 28, 1934, she was married to the late Johnie William Anderson who passed away July 17, 2002. She was a homemaker and a member of the Antioch Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 Sons: James Paul Anderson and Johnie Kenneth Anderson; 1 Grandson: George Anderson Nipper; 1 Great - Granddaughter: Natalie Anderson; 1 Sister: Willie Chaffin; and 1 Son-in-law: Jim Jenkins. Survivors include 2 Sons and 3 Daughters-in-law: Roger and Ruby Anderson of Gainesboro, TN, Edward L. and Barbara Anderson of Carthage, TN, and Frances "Tootie" Anderson of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Joyce Anderson Jenkins of Murfreesboro, TN; 8 Grandchildren: Susan Anderson (Tommy) Elkins, Paul Reed (Phyllis) Anderson, Gina Anderson (Jimmy) Key, Tammie Anderson (Tim) Brown, Donna Anderson (Brian) Hall, John Davis (Shanna) Anderson, Amanda Anderson (Mark) Denning, and Aletha Anderson (Michael) Thomas; 1 Step - Grandson: Jimmy Jenkins; 1 Step - Granddaughter: Beverly (Elmer) Gordon; 23 Great - grandchildren; 3 Great - Great Grandchildren; 4 Step - Great Grandchildren, 2 Step - Great Great Grandchildren; and 2 Sisters: Vida E. Anderson of Gainesboro, TN, and Anna Marie Loftis of Warren, Michigan Bro. Kenneth Anderson, Bro. Edward L. Anderson, Bro. John Anderson, and Bro. Paul Reed Anderson will officiate at the services.
