Funeral services for I V Byers, 79, of Cookeville, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Byers Cemetery in the Center Grove community. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Wednesday from 11 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2020, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born November 30, 1940, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Troy B. Haney and Lina Zo Mayberry Haney. On January 7, 1957, she was married to Louis Byers, who survives. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Double Springs Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Daughter: Sharon Elaine Byers; and Siblings: KB Haney, Charles Haney, Troy Haney, Jr., Cora Loftis, and Vena Cantrell. Survivors include her Husband: Louis Byers of Cookeville, TN; 3 Sons: Kelly (Sharon) Byers of Cookeville, TN, Alan (Angie) Byers of Baxter, TN, Brent (Laura) Byers of Cookeville, TN; 2 Daughters: Donna (James) Dennis of Cookeville, TN, and Sheila (Mark) Oakley of Cookeville, TN; Grandchildren: Amanda Smith, Brandon Dennis, Andrew Byers, Andrea Martin, Megan Broman, Mary Alice Bales, Kaylin Byers, Clay Byers, Hannah Beth Byers, Ryleigh Byers, Sophea Byers, Braxton Bennett, and Shelby Pullum; 8 Great Grandchildren; 2 Sisters: M B Ragland and Marie Johnson, both of Gainesboro, TN; and many close friends and relatives. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services.
