Funeral services for Mr. Houston Clay Jones, 71, of Cookeville, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, December 14, 2013, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 3 P.M. - 8 P. M., and Saturday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2013, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born June 7, 1942, in Jackson County, TN, to the late John D. Jones and Hallis D. Locke Cleghorn. He was affiliated with Pacesetters. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Haskell Ray Jones; 1 Sister: Shirley Langley; his Paternal Grandparents: Herman and Paralee Jones; and his Maternal Grandparents: William Charlie and Lena Locke. Survivors include 1 Brother: Mack (Lena) Jones of Woodbury, TN; 2 Sisters: Marie (Joe) Reece of Granville, TN, and Pat (Jackie) Hale of Double Springs, TN; Nieces: Misty (Tim) Burton, Sara Pharrish, Beverly Stephens, Donna Smith, Beth Herren, and Jamie Jones; Nephews: Jeff Ragland and Christopher Jones; Special Great Niece and Nephew: Krissie Burton and Austin Burton and Special Companion: Butterball; and several Great Nieces and Great Nephews.
