Hollis Chaffin

Funeral services for Mr. Hollis Chaffin, 89, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, May 10, 2014, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Entombment will follow in the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Cookeville, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Saturday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Monday, May 5, 2014, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born March 20, 1925, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Silas Narl Chaffin and Claudia Fox Chaffin. On February 25, 1955, he was married to Jerri Chaffin, who survives. He was a plant manager in the refrigeration industry. He was a member of the Center Grove church of Christ and former minister of the Philadelphia, Antioch, and Forks of the Creek church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 Brothers: Vestal Chaffin, Odus Chaffin, and Omer Chaffin and 3 Sisters: Settie Lewis, Niadia Wright, and Nettie Haney Carver. Survivors include his Wife: Jerri Chaffin of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Daughters: Holly Neuhoff of Cookeville, TN and Robin Reidner and husband, Scott of Freeport, IL; 5 Grandchildren: Duncan Reidner, Jessica Reidner, Max Neuhoff, Taylor Neuhoff, and Makena Neuhoff. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Bro. John Mabery and Frank Camper will officiate at the services. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital or Happy Haven Home for Children by contacting the business office of the funeral home.
