Funeral services for Mr. H.J. Stout, 88, of the Flynns Lick community of Jackson County, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, May 27, 2010, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery in the Flynns Lick community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M., and on Thursday from 12 Noon until time of services. He passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. He was born December 24, 1921, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Will W. Stout and Willie Brown Stout. On April 14, 1944, he was married to Jennie Sue Anderson Stout, who survives. He was a retired inside plant manager at Twin Lakes Telephone Co. He was a member of the Flynns Creek Church of Christ, and was baptized on January 10, 1993. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Loyd Kelly Stout; and 2 Infant Sisters. Survivors include his Wife: Jennie Sue Anderson Stout of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Daughters: Pamela Stout Russell & husband, Jack, of Nashville, TN, Celia Stout Smith & husband, Dale, of Gainesboro, TN, and Brenda Stout Hawkins and husband, Jim, of Gainesboro, TN; 6 Grandchildren: Heather Russell Officer of Sparta, TN; Michael (Mickey) Smith, Emily Smith Davidson, Tyler Stout Smith, and James Hawkins, all of Gainesboro, TN; and John Hawkins of Lebanon, TN; and 7 Great Grandchildren: Chandler, Caelyn, Aiden, Ericka, Erin, Holly, and Hannah. Bro. Rex Moorer and Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Church of Christ Disaster Relief Effort, the American Cancer Society, or the donor's favorite charity.
