Herman C. Pippin

Funeral services for Herman C. Pippin, 77, of the Union Hill community of Jackson County, TN, will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2020, at 1 P.M. at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Union Hill - Flatt Cemetery on Shepardsville Road in Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Thursday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born March 31, 1943, in Wayne County, MI, to the late Leonard Pippin and Bessie Pippin. On September 1, 1962, he was married to Joyce Flatt Pippin, who survives. He was a farmer, and a member of the Union Hill Church of Christ. He also served as the president of the Jackson County Farm Bureau for 35 years. Survivors include his Wife: Joyce Flatt Pippin of the Union Hill community; 2 Sons: Tim and Sherry Pippin of the Double Springs community of Putnam County, TN, and Terry and Carol Pippin of the Union Hill community; 3 Grandchildren: Kendall Pippin, Christin Widner, and Kayla Widner; 1 Great Grandchild: Remington Widner; 2 Brothers: Charles and Sue Pippin of the Union Hill community, and Raymond and Gail Pippin of Algood, TN; 1 Sister: Diane and Dennis Fox of Bloomington Springs, TN; 1 Aunt: Lucille Suggs; and 1 Uncle: Ray Pippin. Other relatives and friends also survive. John Pippin and Steve Bowman will officiate at the services.
