Funeral services for Mr. Herbert Willard Pigg, Sr., 73, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, December 3, 2016, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Pigg Family Cemetery in the Fairview community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at his residence. He was born October 25, 1943, in Gainesboro, TN, to the late Charlie Lee Pigg and Lena Liza Pigg. On November 1, 1968, he was married to the late Peggy Pigg. He worked for General Motors in Dayton, OH, and loved fishing. He was a 32nd degree Mason, and loved spending time with family. He was a kind man with a big heart. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Son: Shawn Lee Pigg; and 2 Brothers-in-Law: John Thomason and Donnie Stafford. Survivors include 1 Son: Herbert "Herb" Willard Pigg, Jr. of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Daughters: Julie Ann Beck of Cookeville, TN, Jenny (Phillip) Mahan of Cookeville, TN, and Tonya (Mike) Toht of Kettering, OH; 8 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren; 2 Sisters: Joyce Thomason of Gainesboro, TN, and Jill Stafford of Gainesboro, TN; and 1 Brother-in-Law: Steve (Eunice) Dillon of Dayton, OH.
